Talking about nice locations one can get a good shot of the Lal lal crk bridge on the newish diversion on the Ballarat line near Dunnston. Go down Grills lane off the old Melbourne rd, after 1200 metres take a left turn. If its been raining take extreme caution as this section is unformed track down a steep hill and one could get bogged to the eye balls no problem at all. After 600 metres one comes to a gate (which was locked when I was there), from there though one has an unobstucted view of the bridge. One does need a longish lens as the bridge is 1000 metres away.
