As I pointed out on another thread recently, on the Cleveland line original EMU's were always the majority of units used.  Since the Games ended 2 weeks ago, EMU's are now in the minority on this line.

Poor old 60' series, unloved from the start

I’ve just started a new thread on this but looks like 63 & 77 are withdrawn in Bowen Hills engineers sidings having been dumped yesterday.

As well as the two at Mayne, there are another four 60 series and one ice consist stored at Elimbah, and another two 60's at Banyo.

I’m currently on emu 60 so this ones still going. Do we know which ones are withdrawn at all besides 62-64 and 77?

After many weeks of not many EMU's on the Cleveland line, for some reason today we are back to the pre Games period with EMU's outnumbering all others combined.

Hi all. Sets 66 & 74 have joined the other 2 units in Bowen Hills engineers yard so 4 sets here now.
  Skyblue1 Chief Train Controller

69 & 72 plus 2 other units have been paired up so guess these 4 units could be soon for withdrawal from service.
  Skyblue1 Chief Train Controller

Sets 66 & 74 are back on Bowen Hills depot with pantographs raised. 74 is also fitted with a new pantograph.
Maybe not retired yet??

Sets 66 & 74!are back in Bowen Hills engineers sidings along with 37 & 1 unidentifiable set.

I'm reliably informed that the four units, starting at the Bowen HIlls end, are 66,74,54 and 37.  At least that's what was there at about 9am today.  It seems they get shuffled around a bit.
I'm also reliably informed that they are not in the engineers siding, but are in the west road, old Mayne yard.

They have been there for some time and were still parked this afternoon.

All 4 sets that were at Bowen Hills have now gone so either moved onto another storage location or back in service.

With an enquiry into the 700's about to start, the old EMU's might have more bandaids added to keep them going still longer.

Seen set 37 today working the Caboolture line on its own.

At about 5 o'clock this afternoon, Elimbah yard was full.  1 x NGR, 1 x 5 car ICE consist, and 6 x emu pairs.  Don't know how long they'll all stay there for.

They certainly are chucked in Mayne, pantographs are missing.
  Skyblue1 Chief Train Controller

Both sets in Mayne Yard had pantographs raised with lights on yesterday at 7am so must of been done yesterday.

The pantographs were never removed, just lowered.
