Blue Heelers last night was, surprise surpise, filmed at Newport Workshops again. They weren't driving down Champion Rd this time though.

There was a girl being threatened with a knife in what looked like a BW carriage. And the Harris Greaser made a couple of appearances Very Happy
"Somebody in the WWW"
There was also V/Line vans in backgrounds when they were at the workshops. On another note, a couple of weeks ago on Forensic Investigators with the Russel Street Bombings, when they were showing the guy who was running though the Newport Workshops, you could see a Hitachi in the background.

Ahh yes, I remember this video clip, let me jolt some memory..

Does the commuter happen to sit down and a 'SONY' headphone left by someone happen to also be on the seat, so the unsuspecting commuter puts the head phone on then transported to the DISCO train?!

If it is.. the somg is called Dust me Selecta by a band called Gerling

I think it was done between Little River and Lara as I didn't see and electrical wires above the track. And the track looked kinda new.

Saw it last night. Blue Heelers has already had someone run over by a train in it. However this time a proper regular service appeared to be used, although this time the person was not actually run over.

What was realy wierd was the fact that the train they showed approaching  was going in a different direction (from the right of screen) to the one that actually went past (from the left of screen)...

Another thing about Blue Heelers is that the cut scenes they use showing an elevated view of "Mt Thomas" quite often feature Castlemaine station in the foreground. That footage was taken from the carpark of the Old Castlemaine Gaol. Actually most of the cut scenes are of Castlemaine, including the exterior shots of The Imperial Hotel.

last night i saw an ad for the claretine tablet, or something like that. The one that helps hay fever and inside it was a clay remake of the inside of a M>Comeng. It had a side panels that are just inside the door, but you couldnt see the seats. It also had the comeng windows, all made out of clay.

ohh and also there is another add going around on TV at the moment with Richmond station in it,well one of the glass shelters from richmond station. A editied comeng goes past coz it is really really short and there is a siemens in the background. You can see the connex colours and the metlink stickers on the glass. I really cant remember what it is advetising.

Yes the Claratyne ad certainly looks like a comeng inside, but the station announcement that is made sounds a lot like Cityrail Wink

Yes.. in real life the pass would of seen the drama from a distance and would be going pass at a snail pace as it had ample time to slow down or even stop and not the speed as shown on the show, so really she wouldn't be hit anyway!

Anyway for those who saw that episode.. is it me but that 'N' class horn sounded more like the 'G' or 'BL' class.. or maybe I should head down to SXS and listen to a 'N' class to refresh my memory..  Rolling Eyes

Isn't there an ad at the moent preparing Melbournians for the Commonwealth Games? I remember seeing some guy jump down form the platform ram and throw some rtubbish in the bin (I think it was Richmond) But it was all about throwing rubbish in bins during the Games....

I don't want to bring up an old thread as it seems to anger so many of you - but then again starting a new one on a topic already here seems to do the same...

At any rate; Can anyone confirm or deny that there has been filming on trains in Melbourne this week?

I'm actually hoping for a bit of a hint from Nexas or John of Melbourne, actually  Razz

I've noticed camera crews at Flinders Street (platforms 12 & 13) the last couple of days.  But I don't know any more than that.

i know that blue heelers did a bit of filming around little river in 2004-2005, I remember they did a scene with a helicopter in the station carpark, and something about a girl getting ran over just before the station... they did a few scenes at the shop & station also!

I forgot to mention, but a few weeks back there was a film crew set up at Footscray stion, between platfrom 2 and 3. December 2nd possible, or maybe earlier. Confused

I saw a filming run at Glen Waverley yesterday. It seemed to involve five or six schoolgirls, an older guy in a top hat, with a youngish boy who I guess would be his grandson in the film, and a lead lady in eye-assaulting pink. They had a six car Xtrap (878...936) of which they were using the front half only. Interestingly, one of the props was a cardboard version of a Metlink station sign, the name of which ended in "lanbelle" (I couldn't see the rest).

It hung around long enough for me to do as much snooping as I could without making it too obvious, but I couldn't find any reference to the name of the film, or the purpose or anything useful like that.
