P.S. does anyone else still build models and post here?

great see to what other modellers where up to.

I haven't got anything on my workbench at the moment, but I just finished 3 railing my Hornby (present date Hornby that is) 3 car green Class 110 DMU, using a Marklin skate on the non-powered bogie for pick up from the centre rail. It runs very nicely too, although I had to bend the skate upwards slightly in the middle to stop it hesitating when it passed over a Dublo uncoupling ramp (yes, the ramp was in the down position).

I've been getting a new DLP 3D printer dialed in, quite proud of myself now the results are starting to show.
For those interested it's a Wanhao D7 duplicator.

Today i've turned out a couple of useful things.

An N scale country Telstra exchange building.  The one on the left is the second attempt, the first (right) almost worked except for the roof sagging in the middle.  Next to paint and add some handrails, downpipes, etc.

Next up, a TGR U class diesel shunter in 1:120 scale.
This is the first print of this and it will probably get reprinted with a few refinements so I haven't spent much time cleaning it up.  It's sitting on a tiny N scale 4 wheel mechanism that I found from Japan on ebay.

Very nice work! The Telstra exchange building is instantly recognisable.

Having worked in past years fixing up these telephone exchange buildings while working for a plumbing contractor to Telecom a sagging roof is probably life like.  We once had to fix a roof on one at Mt Bryan in South Australia that the wind ripped off a bit. The building by the way they claimed was  tropical cyclone proof, we do not get cyclones in South Australia though we get very bad wind storms, that are similar to cyclones though, but not as bad as a tropical cyclone.

But nice buildings though and yes easily recognisable as a telephone exchange building.

Yes.  Photobucket got greedy and decided to stop people linking images to other sites unless they are prepared to pay $399 for the privilege.  I think it happened mid last year.  I'm sure the number of Photobucket users has dropped dramatically since then.

If you want to host your photos at a photosharing site, you will need to find a different one (unless of course you want to pay $399).  I moved all my photos from Photobucket to Flickr several months ago.
