The rail journey, which included Mr Fischer's home town of Boree Creek

I thought it was only travelling from The Rock - Albury.

Apparently it travelled from The Rock through Boree Creek to Albury. But not knowing the locality, I'm not sure if it double backed or it's a straight run.

    Mike.

Boree Creek is on the branchline that starts at The Rock. It would have had to be an out and back if it was via Boree Creek.

Looking at the photos, Mr Fischer's casket was loaded onto the train at Albury
(which makes sense as this is where he died).

The train then traveled from Albury to Boree Creek which is the current truncated terminus of the line which formerly operated through to Oatlands as SG and BG (now SG) further south.
(which makes sense as this is where he was born and I expect to be buried).

Truly a fitting last run for Mr Fischer and congratulations for all those involved who made it happen and I can only assume he would have wanted nothing else.

Please feel free to correct any of the above.
