In the early days of the standard gauge north of Adelaide, Australian National locos GM42/CL5 have just left Dry Creek North with the 1500hrs departure for Port Augusta - 9 January 1983.
The automatic semaphore signals control movements on the adjacent broad gauge lines.
32 years on and GM42 is still at work with Genesee & Wyoming Australia while CL5 (now CLF4) has not be so lucky and has been stored for a couple of years now.
