37 CPH railcars were built for the NSWGR from 1923 to provide services on the New South Wales branch lines. They were nick named Tin Hares. In 1983 units started to be withdrawn with the final 2 being withdrawn in September 1985 A total of 23 CPH railcars have been preserved by different Societys in New South Wales. CPH18 is here at the New South Wales Transport Museum at Thirlmere on 11-10-2011
