In Service |
Returned to service following accident repairs at Downer Rail, Port Augusta (SA). |
|
Notable Event |
Locos from Edith River bridge derailment were towed to Port Augusta workshops for repairs. |
|
Damaged |
7AD1 (Adelaide to Darwin freight, operated by Genesee & Wyoming) derailed whilst crossing the Edith River rail bridge near Catherine (NT). The train was being hauled by GWA001, FQ02 and CLF6. Recent flood activity from cyclone Grant had weakened the embankment the track sits on, with the wagons behind the locomomotives (including the crew van) derailing and falling into the river. The driver was uninjured, although the co-driver sustained minor back injuries. |

Changed Owner |
