Sydney's dam catchment's received only light falls of rain last night, but some train commuters faced delays this morning after the South Coast got a bucketing.
Cronulla topped Sydney's rain table with 48mm, Parramatta had 39mm, the city received 29mm and Turramurra got 36mm, the Bureau of Meteorology said.
The rainfall petered out across the city's west, bureau technical officer Derek Coales said.
