The Darwin Rail Passenger Terminal took out the top prize at the Northern Territory Construction Association awards.
Built over 18 weeks during the wet season to a strict deadline, the station won the judges' vote partly for meeting such a tough brief. The association's Jon Baker says the inflexible deadline presented by the arrival of the Ghan forced much of the station to be built in the wet season.
