Tranz Rail Holdings' former managing director, Michael Beard, and two former directors and two investors had been charged with insider trading in the railway company's stock in 2002.
Former chief financial officer Mark Bloomer, ex-directors David Richwhite and Carl Ferenbach, and investors Midavia Rail Investments and Berkshire Fund III were named as defendants in the insider-trading suit, the New Zealand Securities Commission said in a statement.
