West Australia's Opposition says it is not surprised the Perth to Mandurah rail project has been delayed only months after it started.
The $1.5 billion project is due to be completed in December 2006, but technical and mechanical problems have put the construction of the tunnel back by a month. It is understood the delay is costing the contractor, Leighton, $300,000 a day.
