A speeding passenger train derailed and fell into a ravine in the northern Philippines early today, overturning several times and killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 118 others, officials said.
The train was travelling to Manila when four of its five cars fell into a 12m-deep ravine in Padre Burgos town in Quezon province, about 150km south-east of Manila, police Senior Superintendent Leo Kison said.
