Inland rail a trifecta for Toowoomba region: mayor
Local ambulance and police officers, and about 25 firefighters, attended the scene of a leaking container on board a train at Port Augusta's Spencer Junction on Friday.
Highly flammable resin glue was found leaking from the container, which held 26,000 litres of the dangerous substance. The leak was discovered about 7am on Friday by Pacific National, and the owner of the product was contacted, who later advised the Port Augusta Metropolitan Fire Service that the leakage was a serious incident, given the resin glue's flammable nature.
