Train drivers were threatening strike action today, angry Queensland Rail had revealed details of the high speed a Tilt Train was travelling when it derailed on Tuesday.
Data from a black box recorder showed the train was travelling at 112km/h when it left the rails – almost double the permitted speed for that section of track.
The Australian Federated Union of Locomotive Employees (AFULE) said train drivers were incensed the information had been released before the two drivers had been interviewed by investigators
