Inland rail a trifecta for Toowoomba region: mayor
Police in country New South Wales have warned drivers not to try to overtake wide vehicles being used for the grain harvest.
The police traffic co-ordinator for western New South Wales, Greg Reichardt, says large harvesters and grain trucks are busy at this time of the year.
He says extra care needs to be taken at rail crossings while the harvest is under way.
"We've had many crashes in recent times and in recent years where people are complacent," he said.
"They've crossed that track that many times before and never seen a train and all of a sudden there is a grain train there."
