FIVE train lines from Melbourne’s north and west have been blocked from getting access to the City Loop this morning, causing widespread problems for commuters.
A track problem near Flagstaff station blocked Craigieburn, Sunbury, Werribee, Upfield and Williamstown line trains from getting into the City Loop after North Melbourne station.
They are instead running direct to Southern Cross and then Flinders St stations instead.
There has been anger from commuters on social media over what people say are repeated problems with the performance of operator Metro Trains.
A Metro Trains spokeswoman said crews were working to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Passengers who want to get to a City Loop station should go to Flinders St and get another train, the spokeswoman said.
