So much history has been lost in the Yarloop fires. Here the remains of a steam locomotive from the Yarloop Workshops sits on the scorched tracks.
it is so terribly sad to see the dedicated work of so many volunteers be taken away by a bushfire over which they had little or no control. This image will remind us all on how devastating and dangerous a bushfire in Australia can be.
Sadly the bush fires also claimed lives and damaged an extensive amount of property across the region not just the railway museum and this steam locomotive.
