Theo Taifalos, the under-performing CEO of V/Line, has resigned as the transport crisis continues to grip the state's regional rail operator amid some 70 train services a day having been replaced by coaches until further notice due to rapid wheel wear on VLocity trains. The crisis has dragged on for over 2 weeks.
Gippsland Vline services remain banned from Metro Tracks causing more commuter issues.
Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan will update the public on the V/Line situation this afternoon.
