Gheringhap Sightings w/e 13/6/2015
Victoria, 3-10 to 8-10-2004
There were 82 sightings for the week which is 9 sightings less than last week, sightings are down due to the Easter holiday. Making a total for the year to date at 1216* sightings(* One weeks sightings missing in March) (Total sightings up to day 92 last year was 1477).
B/G sightings were down to only 7 trains this week, which included an early
morning EMU transfer to Ballarat on Friday. T377 in CFCLA livery was the
loco in charge of a van and two three car EMU's. The biggest lash up on the
B/G was Friday's 9140 with G511+A71+T400+BL32(NR), correct me if I am wrong
but I think this was the first sightings of a broad gauge BL through
Gheringhap since 1995?
On the S/G we have seen 17 sightings of AN class locos, 14 sightings of DL
class locos, with 11 of them being on the Patrick's trains. XR555(PN) was
sighted four times on 9791/92. And we had one sighting of 8120 ane one
sighting of V544.
There has been four S/G grain trains for the week with three of them showing
up on Friday.
On Sunday we had a visit of the Ozback tourist train which was on the down
with NR86, eight cars and two flat wagons.
Regards, Graham Elliott.
