Trains are back to normal after services were disrupted following a death at Leppington shortly before 6am.
It is reported up to 10 police cars attended the scene. Buses replaced trains between Leppington and Glenfield following the incident for several hours but trains are now back on the line.
A police spokesman said there was no details available on the sex or identity of the person.
Sydney Trains have warned some flow-on delays remain.
