A silver surprise today: this is Railpool’s 151 062 in a new silver design. The locomotive is currently being overhauled in Dessau, an opportunity for Railpool to wrap one of its 151s in silver.
Soon, the lease company will have two ‘classic electrics’ in silver: 151 062 and 155 138. Railpool wants to draw more attention to these six-axle electrics, which are up for sale.
In 2017 Railpool and Toshiba acquired around 200 locomotives from Deutsche Bahn – all 151 and 155 series electrics. Railpool (which is the ECM) is responsible for management of this fleet, including service and maintenance.
The first test run with 151 062 is scheduled for the end of this month.
