The road outside Herne Hill train station in South London is closed while there is a fire on the Thameslink tracks over the roads.
Traffic pictures from Half Moon Road show firefighters at the scene trying to tackle the blaze on a railway bridge over the road, while thick white smoke rises.
National Rail says: "The emergency services are dealing with an incident near the railway between Herne Hill and Tulse Hill is causing disruption to trains between these stations.
"As a result of this, trains may be cancelled or delayed."
The station sits on the border of Lambeth and Southwark .
TfL Traffic alerts tweeted: "A2214 Half Moon Lane is closed in both directions between Norwood Road & Herne Hill whilst @LondonFire deal with what appears to be a track fire on the railway line that runs above the road.
"Traffic is stationary and queuing on the approaches and diversion - expect local delays."
