NORTHSIDE commuters will have more trains to choose from when Queensland Rail restores 118 weekly services on northside lines.
From July 29, Queensland Rail will restore 430 weekly services, including 118 on the Shorncliffe, Redcliffe Peninsula and Caboolture lines.
Queensland Rail New Generation Rollingstock NGR trainsThe changes will reinstate a consistent timetable Monday to Friday, through the following additional week day services:
■ 12 extra Shorncliffe line services, Monday to Friday.
■ 95 extra Northgate shuttle services, Monday to Friday.
■ Nine extra weekly Caboolture line services, Monday to Friday.
■ Two extra weekly Redcliffe Peninsula line services on Fridays.
Member for Sandgate Stirling Hinchliffe said the 12 extra services on the Shorncliffe line included four added to the Friday timetable and two daily services Monday to Thursday.
Member for Nudgee Leanne Linard said, in total, 239 weekly Northgate shuttles would also be introduced, including an extra five daily shuttles in peak times Monday to Thursday.
