An historic loco from North Wales has taken centre stage at a national rail festival. The world's oldest working locomotive, Prince, owned by Ffestiniog Railway, stood alongside the 100mph steam loco Flying Scotsman to mark the bicentenary of rail travel.
Prince is the oldest working steam locomotive in the world and still runs on the line for which it was originally designed. It was the first operational steam locomotive on the revived Ffestiniog Railway in 1954.
