Inland rail a trifecta for Toowoomba region: mayor
An Indian Pacific train passenger has appeared in Broken Hill Local Court in western New South Wales after up to $23,000 worth of marijuana and amphetamines were found in his luggage.
Zeljzo Mravinac, 54, was arrested when the train arrived in Broken Hill from Sydney early yesterday morning.
He pleaded guilty to possessing the drugs, but entered no plea to charges of supplying them.
His solicitor told the court his client was a heavy user of both drugs because of kidney disease and arthritis.
Mravinac was remanded in custody until July 26.
