A PERSON was struck by a train on the New South Wales south coast today, forcing the closure of the railway line.
Police and emergency services were this morning at the scene at Austinmer, north of Wollongong, where the accident happened about 10.50am (AEST).
There was no immediate word on the fate of the person involved.
Commuter buses were operating between Thirroul and Scarborough, a State Rail spokesman said.
