In a news report this morning, planners from Vicroads appear to be workng on yet another freeway for Melbourne. This time is it an 8 lane outer ring road which will move Melbourne's growth boundary yet again.
The report suggests that a long awaited railway connection to Australia's second busiest airport is still off the agenda.
Whilst other authoriities around the globe and indeed Australia are building heavy rail links to airports (which in reality are just another form of transport hub), Victoria remains focused on increasing the use of personal vehicles and creating even further greenhouse emissions.
A report on the plan can be found in the forums under Other Transport
