There were 98 sightings for this week. This is ten sighting less than last week, making a total of 3959 sightings for this year to date. On day 325 last year we had recorded 4593 sightings.
We have seen only five sightings on the B/G this week, which are six less that last week.
Mondays and Wednesdays down Mildura trains both had G527(PN)+P22(FA) with Mondays 9103 turning up six hours late at 1846. And 9108 on the up on Friday did not turn up. Ten cement pots were brought up from Geelong on Wednesday by A85(FA), after which A85(FA) returned on the up as a light loco.
We have seen no PN grain trains this week, but we did seen an up EMU transfer on Friday with T413(FA) and two 3 car sets, 403M-1018T-404M + 567M-1138T-575M.
On the S/G we have seen nine AN class loco sightings, but only two of them were seen on the Patrick’s trains along with six XRB slave unit sightings. And we saw one sighting of DL41.
We have seen two mineral sands trains this week; on Friday at 0250 we saw the up loaded train with C501(VR)+T342(ELZ)+S302(ELZ)+GM36(CR) and 25 wagons, which returned on the down in the evening with the locos in reverse order.
On this weeks eight SCT trains we have seen 23 SCT class loco sightings. We have seen 12 sleeper trains with 12 X 81 class loco sightings. On the six P & O trains this week we have seen six sightings of VL355 & 356, three sightings of G512(S) and six sightings of G515(CF). And on the six QRN trains this week we have seen four sightings of LDP 003 & 4, four sightings of 6001, 2 and 3, two sightings of QRN’s G class and one CLF sighting.
On Sunday AM5 came in with NR76+DL41(NR). Mondays up MP9 SCT train came in with SCT005+SCT007+SCT012+SCT013. Tuesdays up QRN train came in with 6002(Q)+6001(Q)+LDP003. Tuesday nights PM7 detached a 5 pack container wagon into the S/G siding and this wagon was picked the next night by PM5. It was probably repaired on site in the daytime. On Friday night MA6 went out with a new QRN 6000 class loco, 6003(Q)+LDP003+G516(Q). And Saturday nights PM6 came in with NR106+NR92+NR26(IP)+NR48.
