A 34-year-old man has been arrested after commuters noticed he had a shotgun on a train north of Sydney.
Passengers called police about 10.30am (AEDT) on Monday to report that a man on a train from Newcastle had a firearm.
Police cleared commuters from platforms 3 and 4 at Hornsby station before the train arrived and then entered the carriage, discovering a sawn-off .22 calibre shotgun under a seat.
