An Amtrak train and semi truck collided near Guadalupe on Wednesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the collision at an unnamed dirt road just north of the Santa Maria River near Highway 1 around 3 p.m. The CHP initially reported that the incident took place at Highway 1 and Thornberry Road.
The train was headed northbound just north of Guadalupe. The crossing did not have any signals.
The semi truck trailer was destroyed and a stop sign was knocked down, however no injuries have been reported at this time, according to the CHP.
