Anti Adani Protesters are planning to disrupt the planned Aurizon Limited AGM scheduled for 17th October 2019. In announcement made on Facebook complete with event subscription the protesters remain unhappy that Aurizon (a major transporter of coal in Queensland) has not ruled out hauling coal for the Adani Project.
We know Aurizon are checking this Facebook event, so invite all your friends so Aurizon can watch the ‘going’ number grow!
Adani can’t ship a single tonne of coal unless they hire a company to haul the coal from their proposed coal mine to their coal port. There are only three coal hauling companies in Australia. Aurizon, Pacific National, and Genesee and Wyoming.
Good news! Genesee and Wyoming has recently ruled out hauling Adani’s coal! Good on them.
Aurizon is the next most likely company to haul Adani’s coal. Aurizon have been under pressure for years from our relentless movement to rule out hauling Adani’s coal. And we know we’re getting to them.
At their last AGM, Aurizon’s chairperson said they don’t want to become ‘public enemy number one’. Yet, they still haven’t ruled out working with Adani.
So now it’s time to make Aurizon ‘public enemy number one’ until they rule out hauling Adani’s coal.
Hit ‘going’, invite all your friends, and more details will be released soon!
