Train services on Auckland's Onehunga and Southern lines are suspended after a person was hit and killed by a train.
Police officers were at the scene on Market Rd, near Remuera train station about 12.30pm.
At 4pm, Auckland Transport said emergency services had left and it was awaiting approval to reopen the rail lines.
Meanwhile, a rail replacement bus was running between Penrose and Onehunga and Southern line train services were operating via the Eastern line.
Some train services on the Western line had also been delayed.
Police said the death would be referred to the coroner.
