Six jobs are on the chopping block as the Toowoomba depot of rail freight company Aurizon closes on March 28.
A statement from the company said three employees at Warwick would also be affected, as part of a commercial review.
"The company has completed a consultation process with affected employees.
"There are six employees affected in Toowoomba and three employees at Warwick.
"This proposal will also affect one contractor located at the Toowoomba Depot."
