The BaltTransService oil transport subsidiary of the Globaltrans group has taken delivery of the first of 10 2TE25KM twin-section diesel locomotives ordered from Tramsmashholding’s Bryansk factory.
The twin-section 1 520 mm gauge locomotives with AC-DC transmission are rated at 4·4 MW and have a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
Similar locomotives are used by Russian Railways and several large industrial operators including coal producer SUEK and Kazak mining company Schubarkol Komir.
