The contract is worth around Yuan 1.2bn ($US 175.6m). CBRC is a 50:50 joint venture with Bombardier Transportation and the former CNR.
The 390 cars will be configured into 65 six-car trains, with 216 cars due to operate on Line 2. The 28.7km underground line will have 19 stations, and runs north to southeast. Phase 1 is scheduled to open in 2021.
The remaining 174 cars will be used on the 32km, 30-station Line 3 Phase 2, which is scheduled to open in 2022.
