Hello everyone from the wilds of Central Burma!
TRAIN lovers take note: your passion and enthusiasm for all things to do with railways is needed.
The Casino Mini Rail is looking for help with ongoing jobs.
"We are all volunteers here and we would like some more members to drive trains, do maintenance and track work, as well as mowing, brushcutting and gardening," volunteer William Westman said.
"No experience is required as we will teach you everything you need to know, although mechanical experience would be appreciated, " Mr Westman said.
The Casino Mini Rail is open to the public every Sunday between 10am and 4pm and for private functions.
"We take bookings for birthday parties, family gatherings and any other events."
The trip on the scenic miniature railway is around 4km, leaving North Casino station and winding through the beautiful Jabiru Geneebeinga Wetland.
The trip skirts the Casino Golf Course and farmland before arriving at the old Casino station, built in 1903, which has been developed into a railway museum.
There are plenty of places to picnic before catching a train back to North Casino station.
Get involved
If you are interested in becoming a Casino Mini Rail member or you would like to make a booking for an event, phone William Westman on 0427 624 796 or Sid Miles on 6662 1924.
