Rare Arnott's biscuit van restored
Let's continue the largest crowd funding effort in Australian rail heritage history!
I am sure by now you are aware of CLP10 being secured for preservation (huge effort), now we are looking for a further $16,050 to acquire new batteries and lubricants to revive this fantastic beast.
Streamliners Australia has settled the paint and painting facility (another story for another time) and are also applying for a THNSW grant for the ICE radio (around $50,000), so this is really the final piece of the puzzle to ensure CLP10 move under its own power!
In respect of what has already been raised it is a small achievable amount, however needs everyone's combined effort to get the word out. Thank you again to everybody who has dug deep so far, even if you have just shared information about the campaign it has been a fantastic effort.
This has been a good news story in Rail Heritage and we want to ensure people keep getting involved with the CLP10 project - This is our locomotive, everybody here has played a role in saving and eventual introduction. You should all be proud.
We have also been having robust conversation about the future of Streamliners Australia and the potential that a new main line heritage operator in NSW has, we will keep you updated (or join the conversation!)
Thanks again everyone!
