Following footage such as the clip below from Banksia train station, NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance is cracking down on train-related offences.
There is a push to up the fines for trespassing on the train tracks, which currently stand at a range $400 to $5,000 .
And the frequency of train-related dramas and trespassers on the tracks has resulted in the need for drastic change.
"That is just reckless, stupid, life-threatening behaviour," Mr Constance told 9 News.
"It defies logic. It is just the most stupid, reckless act you could undertake.
"Sometimes if trains are delayed, this is what causes it."
