The 28.7km line, which will interchange with Line 1 at Bowugan station and national rail services at Harbin station, will have 19 stations and is expected to open in June 2021.
The B2 type aluminium alloy train features a system that integrates facial and behavioural recognition with video and image analysis technology to monitor the driver’s behaviour to improve safety.
The trains are also equipped with cold resistance technology, allowing them to continue operating at -30oC during winter, and the lighter overall weight of 9.12 tonnes reduces energy consumption.
Passenger information is displayed on a 42-inch LCD screen. This includes the train’s position in the station, elevators and points of interest around the station, as well as timetable information.
The wheelchair spaces feature an intercom that allows passengers with reduced mobility to talk to the driver in an emergency.
