Home Minister Amit Shah along with Railway Minister Piyush Goyal today flagged off the second new Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi. The train will run between New Delhi and Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and will be known as Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express.
After showing the green flag to the train at New Delhi railway station, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah said,
I’m proud that this made-in-India train is being flagged-off from here today. The railway is working towards achieving its targets keeping in mind principles of speed, scale and service.
22439: New Delhi – Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Katra (Up)
22440: Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi (Down)
This train will complete the journey between New Delhi and Katra and vice-versa in 8 (eight) hours at the speed of 130 km/h. However, the maximum operating speed of the train is 160 km/h. The Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express will start its first commercial run from New Delhi to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Katra on October 5, 2019

According to the order issued by the Railway Board, Vande Bhavan Express will depart from Delhi Railway Station at 6.00 am and reach Ambala railway station at 8.10 am. After two minutes of stay here, the train will arrive at Ludhiana at 9.19 am. It will arrive at Jammu Railway Station at 12.38 pm. After that, at Katra railway station it will arrive at 2.00 pm.
Return Journey (Down)
Katra (Departure): 3.00 pm
Delhi (Arrival): 11.00 pm
Jammu Tawi (A/D): 04.13 pm / 04.15 pm
Ludhiana (A/D): 07.32 am / 07.34 pm
Ambala Kant (A/D): 08.48 pm / 08.50 pm
The train will depart from Katra at around 3.00 pm in the afternoon. The train will reach Jammu station at 4.13 pm and after two minutes halt the train will reach the Ludhiana railway station at 7.32 pm and thereafter reach Delhi at 11.00 pm.
