Network Rail has sent out a reminder to passengers to follow Government advice and only to use public transport if it is essential.

Network Rail is carrying out engineering work to upgrade the railway for improved journeys in the future.

Through the pandemic, the rail industry has operated a reduced number of services for passengers who need it.

Passengers who don’t need to travel are asked to please stay at home, help protect the NHS and save lives.

The major projects to be carried out over this Early May Bank Holiday include:

• In the Euston Area, preparation works for HS2, resulting in amended timetables today and tomorrow.
• Overhead line works near Fenchurch Street; trains will be diverted to Liverpool Street
• Work between London Bridge and Charing Cross, meaning no trains at Charing Cross or Waterloo on 10th May
• Work on 10th May between Doncaster and Leeds leading to amended services.
