THE bus company responsible for more than 50 per cent of Adelaide's metropolitan coverage may not get a renewed contract with the State Government.
It was reported last night Serco had applied for a renewed contract at a higher cost to the Government – but the tender had been rejected.
The State Government was believed to be opening up the tender process to other companies. It was unknown if Serco would rebid.
Transport consultant Derek Scrafton said if Serco wanted more money it had to do it through the right process. He said even if the contract was to change companies he would not expect job losses
