As part of the railway project FMG will build a 120km rail spur, road maintenance track, borrow pits, bridges, surface water management infrastructure, borefields, camps, power and communications corridor and other associated rail infrastructure.
This work will disturb 3690 hectares of native vegetation, within a 38,089ha envelope.
The railway will use trains configured with two head-end locomotives, 250 ore cars and two banking locomotives that stretch for about 2900m.
