Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
As such, when I model something, whether trains or any other subject, it's going to be my creative impression.
It's not meant to be an exact copy of something. Perhaps that is why I find myself so at odds with the so called "prototype modeling movement". This idea of trying to exactingly copy a scene is so foreign to me but we all model the prototype, to suggest otherwise would be ridiculous. Some just model it differently from others. I would bet no two people see it the same. Also, anyone who "operates" in any way shape or form is modeling moving goods and/or people from point A to point B. Some do it differently from others.
There is no right or wrong way and just because I don't understand something doesn't mean I'm saying it's wrong. Far from it. If anything,
I seek to understand the reasoning and motivation others have behind things in order to hopefully expand my horizons. Not to say I just accept everything because some things I just don't get and never will and I don't expect folks to get everything I do either. Just some thoughts I wanted to express after some recent interactions on this forum.
People seem to get adversarial over the silliest things. Your comments, agree or disagree, are welcome and thanks for reading my blog.
