Government of Kerala has set up an ambitious target of 1 million EV’s on the road by 2022 and Pilot Fleet of 200,000 two-wheelers, 50,000 three-wheelers, 1000 goods carriers, 3000 buses and 100 ferry boats by 2020. The Kerala government now planning to set up Electric Vehicle Charging Stations across the state.
The Government of Kerala has designated Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Limited as the State Nodal Agency for establishing the Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure in the State. The state has set conversion of three-wheelers and transport buses to electric as the first priority along with a promotional role in the conversion of two and four-wheelers.
With this objective, KSEB Limited invites Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested bidders for procurement, Installation and Operation & Maintenance (as the case may be) of EV Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles at specified locations primarily in three districts in Kerala viz. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode. The setting up of Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) will be subsequently rolled out to other cities, municipal corporations, major towns, and roads connecting them.
Scope of Work
Design, engineering, testing at manufacturer’s works, procurement including transportation to site and storage, quality assurance, packing, erection including performance testing, satisfactory commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) having charger type/connector as specified in tender documents.
