Historic Rupertswood station due to be demolished. One of rupertswood's train platforms will be demolished and the other decommissioned to make way for the regional fast rail project, cutting off salesian college from rail services.
The college's bendigo bound platform, which was built in the 1880s but has since been altered, hosts three trains that stop each school day to pick up and set down students.
But transport minister peter batchlor has announced the bendigo bound platform would be levelled to make way for newly aligned tracks, while the historic 1879 melbourne bound platform will be decommissiond.
From next year, students who use the stop will have to get off at sunbury station before catching a school bus the 1.2km to the college.
