There are currently major disruptions for Bendigo line trains. A train has struck an abandoned car on tracks near Kangaroo Flat on the afternoon of Wednesday 15 February. This disruption will continue today Thursday 16 February with the following service alterations for the rest of the day:
Bendigo line services continue to run as trains between Southern Cross and Castlemaine, connecting with coaches to Bendigo, Epsom and Eaglehawk. This applies for trains up until the 16:24 Southern Cross - Epsom.
The following trains will operate as normal train services
17:03 Southern Cross - Kyneton
17:30 Southern Cross - Epsom
17:56 Southern Cross - Bendigo
18:44 Southern Cross - Kyneton
19:02 Southern Cross - Bendigo
19:42 Southern Cross - Bendigo
20:22 Southern Cross - Epsom
The following trains are cancelled and replaced by coaches the entire journey:
16:57 Southern Cross - Eaglehawk
21:22 Southern Cross - Eaglehawk
22:38 Southern Cross - Bendigo (altered departure time due to AFL)
20:02 Bendigo - Southern Cross
21:20 Bendigo - Southern Cross
The 12:43 Swan Hill - Southern Cross is operating as a train to Bendigo then coaches Bendigo to Southern Cross.
The 18:23 Southern Cross - Swan Hill is operating as coaches Southern Cross to Bendigo then connecting with a train Bendigo to Swan Hill.
All other trains coming into Melbourne and not mentioned above are continuing to originate at Castlemaine Station with coaches from Bendigo/Epsom/Eaglehawk connecting to the trains.
We are aiming to resume full service on the Bendigo line by the morning of Friday 17 February, after the train involved in the incident is recovered and vital infrastructure works are completed.
