A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after he fell from a railway overpass at Strathpine, north of Brisbane, and hit his head.
It is believed the man was skylarking with a friend when the accident occurred.
A police spokesman said it appeared the two men were mucking around, when one of the men ran and slid down a hand rail leading to the station.
A second man attempted to also slide down the rail, but fell about 7m and hit his head.
The man was coughing blood when paramedics arrived.
He was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with severe head injuries and was in a critical condition.
