WHO needs "big boys' toys” when you can scale down and have just as much fun at the Caloundra and District Model Railway Club display and sale day.
The club will hold its much-anticipated event on April 14 at the Caloundra Arts Centre in North St, Golden Beach, from 8.30am to 1pm.
The T-Track layout will be operating as well as the club's new interactive Thomas The Tank Engine layout where younger train enthusiasts can run their own trains.
A total of 30 vendors will be offering a wide variety of new and pre-loved locomotives, rolling stock and railway accessories at competitive prices for visitors' home train sets and railways.
A test track will be available to test bought locomotives.
Club members will be on hand to answer questions and give advice on all things model trains.
The restaurant car will be open and offering a variety of tasty food, coffee, tea and soft drinks.
Admission to the display and sale day is free and tickets will be available for the raffle.
